-Earlier, Sri Lanka were bowled out for 141 in 40.3 overs after opting to bat first. The visitors never got going as they lost wickets at regular intervals. Only four batsmen reached double figures, with Dhananjaya de Silva being the top-scorer with 26.

-Bangladesh's bowlers were superb, with Mehidy Hasan Miraz taking four wickets for 25 runs. Mustafizur Rahman and Shakib Al Hasan chipped in with two wickets each, while Taskin Ahmed and Mohammad Saifuddin claimed one apiece.

-With this win, Bangladesh have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series and have also secured their place in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Super League. The third and final ODI will be played on Friday, March 8.
